Online income report August 2012

Hi everyone, I need to say I’m really sorry to write this report so late. There is always so much to do and I prefer to build my business than writing about it and how great it is or would be if I had more time…

There wasn’t only business or my work but as I mentioned before, the second summer holiday we did this year. We went to Portugal and it was awesome. There was a chance to connect to the internet at the hotel but I (first time ever) didn’t take it. I connected only once at restaurant after dinner just to see what the weather in next few days will be and to load new posts to my RSS reader. Nothing else. the real holiday. I didn’t bothered how much money I did in the past week, what website went down, if there is a new comments on my pro blogs… Ignorance is bliss.

I had this plan in the past but there was always something that needed to be done or fixed. Not this time. Do you want to know what I missed?

There wasn’t end of the world, none of my blogs has been hacked, I didn’t get boot from Adsense. Only mirror issues, one of hosting invoice showed as not paid (just matter of few minutes, once I get back to the PC at home, to check the PayPal account and open the ticked with the transaction number) and one VPS showed massive load and the admin took down index page from one blog.

Also there was over 200 new messages in my email, nothing I can’t “fix” in few of days of working.

I already know the plan for next holiday. I’ll be enjoying the time on the beach as I did in Portugal. The only worry will be again just to find the food I want to eat and what will be the adventure for tomorrow. Nothing is more important than our lives. I’m not selling the idea of doing nothing all the time, I’m just trying to tell you that it is nice to build business around but sometimes we all need to relax. Not for one hour or one day, that’s for them who is working 8 hours a day but if you are working the 8 hours and after that trying to build and run a business instead of having a beer or watching a TV, you need a proper break. I had one and now I’m full of energy and new ideas. Try it!

Right, back to the income report.

My online income in August 2012:

Adsense: £ 661

Infolinks: $ 167 (£ 104)

Other: £ 88

*Expenses: £ 192

Net income: £ 661

£ 661 is 828 Euro and about 1060 US Dollars. Second time in the row over 1000 USD in one month from Adsense!

August online income was a bit less than last month but it’s not that bad at all. I’m happy to see this amount of money coming every single month to my bank account. As opposite to Adsense, my Infolinx income grown quite a lot. It’s because I added new blogs to the Infolinks account and also the traffic of existing Pro Blogs went up a bit.

* I always spend all money from Infolinks and other advertisers and affiliate programs because I get this money to my PayPal account and then use it for outsourcing, new hosting and domains payments. The Adsense income going straight to my business bank account and it just stay there for while. I’m not spending this money back on the business and that’s the reason why it is the Net income.

Here is the chart of daily average online income report from the beginning to August 2012

My online income report from the beginning to August 2012

At the beginning of my online money-making journey I was hopping to get £1 per day in average. And also each month increase of £1/day each month. It means: if I do in December 2010 £31 for whole month (£1 per day), in January 2011 I should get £62 (£2 per day), February 2011 £84 (£3 per day), etc. Yes my goal is £1 a day better than last month. Now in August I should be at £22 per day in average. In January I was getting over £20 a day, July £23 and this month was my online business giving me a bit over £21 per day in average. I know, July average online income was a bit better but I’m happy to be even a bit under the blue line (goal line).

Thank you for reading my blog and online income reports and I hope you are doing even better than me.

Online income report July 2012

Hi everyone, I need to say that, my online income was in July growing again! This feels really good especially if I’m thinking about my love to travelling and the sense for responsibility. I really can put those two together. In July I came slowly back to my working after coming back home from work and I took care about all my Pro Blogs, I’ve even made couple new ones. The plan is, of course, build more new blogs in August and there is not much time because end of August we are going to Portugal. Yes another holiday, our second this summer. My colleges already noticed that I’ve been out of the UK few times this year and they still don’t know about the Christmas one (we are actually looking these days for nice place to stay for couple of weeks at the end of this year). And where we’ve already been?

  1. We started this year with new year celebration in Valletta (Malta).
  2. Spend Easter in Dublin (Ireland).
  3. Went for couple of days to Calais (France).
  4. Early summer holiday at Tenerife (Spain).
  5. And this one, late summer holiday in Portugal.

Not bad for working couple, isn’t it?

I’m not trying to impress anyone here and I know about people doing over 20 countries each year, all I want to say is You can do the same. Since I started with online marketing my eyes opened wide to all the new choices we have in our lives, and if I can do this, anyone can. Don’t forget, I’m not native English speaker and I’m pretty sure you can see it in all my posts (and I’m really sorry for my grammar). If I (Johnny Foreigner) can build all my Blogs in English, I’m sure, everyone can.

Back to business. In July I was also looking for some additional ways to make money online. Dropshipping was one of the those ideas. Dropshipping is looking good because of one main thing. You don’t have to keep the stock at home, you just get the propagation material (usually photos and some info about the product) and you can start selling. Once somebody buy the product from you, you’ll get  paid, quickly pay to your supplier and he will send the product to your customer. You don’t even have to touch it. Yes, another location independent business. There is, of course, more negatives. You are selling something you didn’t check on your own, the competition is pretty high if you are using popular products or using popular supplier. Anyway, there is lots of learning for me. I just found supplier who not many people know about and put on eBay 20 “Buy it now” products and was hoping for the best. The best result is one sale with price tag just over £75. Minus 10% eBay fees, minus 5% PayPal fees and minus £8 eBay insertion fees for 20 products and finally minus the price I was paying for the product. Net income from only one sale? £21, hooray! I know, I can still go a bit down with the price and try to post more products and I’ll do it. Not this month as I want to concentrate more on blogging but after we come back from Portugal I’ll be probably back in dropshipping. It was new experience and if you’re looking for some way to make cash online, this doesn’t looks bad at all. Yes it’s only £21 in one month but the investment was £8 and there is possibility to scale it and make £80 investment with £210 of profit. The sky’s the limit.

My online income in July 2012:

Adsense: £ 695

Infolinks: $ 112 (£72)

eBay: £ 21

Other: £ 97

*Expenses: £ 169

Net income: £ 716

£ 716 is 910 Euro and about 1110 US Dollars. YES, over 1000 USD in one month from Adsense (plus eBay).

July online income was again better than last month and I’m so happy to see that the hard work I’ve done few months back was worth. I also promised to myself I’ll be working hard again in August and I’ll try to make another 10 new Pro Blogs. There is lot’s of to do to keep running all of them but I have always a spare few hours each week to make new ones. I don’t want to waste the time in August playing with dropshipping but I’ll definitely try it later.

In July I also get £21 from single sale using eBay and Paypal, this money went straight to my business account and I had to add it to the NET income. It’s a profit.

Be patient!

So you want to make money online? Then you should have some smart rules. If you don’t have any, here is the third one. This time we’ll talk about waiting.

Quick online success

Did somebody ever told you that making money on the internet is easy and quick process? If yes, guess what. It’s a lie. Building any website from scratch take a time, lots of time and waiting. Waiting in online business is big part of the process. You need to wait for everything. For example:

  • for nameservers change after you change a hosting
  • for approval to another affiliate program
  • to get the money from them to your bank account
  • to get better page rank
  • to get better position in search results
  • to get somebody to read your pro blog
  • to share it
  • to leave comment
  • etc.

How long do I need to wait?

This is usual question I get if I’m trying to convince friends to start with blogging and build a business around it. Let me tell you a story about bananas at Tenerife. Two months ago we (myself and my fiancée) went to Tenerife and (as each holiday) we were both a bit active. We tried to stay all day long at the beach but we get bored pretty fast. So we always try to do some trips. One of them was to an Aloe Park. There was aloe plants everywhere but then we walked in garden with banana trees. And that’s what I want to talk about today.

At Tenerife is beautiful weather all around the year but not incredible hot. Tenerife has lots of banana plantations, the whole coastal area, all around the island is covered by banana plants especially the South-Western part of island is full of banana plantations. Each banana plant need time to grow up and give fruit. The lady at Aloe Park was talking about the time. Each banana tree has about 200 bananas and after that they cut the 6-8 feet long plant and wait to grow another one. And how long it takes? 18 months! Yes, 18 months until they get 200 bananas from the plant. End of story. I was shocked about it. Who can do this? It’s not only sit and wait, you need to do lots of work like watering, building a protection against the sun and wind…

Yes, it’s pretty similar to writing and growing pro blog. You need to write new content (watering) and make sure it’s stable and protected against hackers and you need to be patient. But, and here is the best part, you don’t have to kill your pro blog after 18 months of whenever you get paid let’s say 200$. No, the blog will stay forever or until you’ll keep it alive and bring you much more money in the long run.

Are you still looking for get rich quick?

If your answer is yes, read the part about banana plants again. If you already did and you are still hoping to find some way how to make money online fast, please leave this blog. You wont find the answer here. I’m talking about slow, full of patience way here because that’s the way I know well. I’m walking this path every single day and I’m happy that I’m not stuck at Tenerife planting bananas.

If you are thinking about building pro blog or you recently started with one, keep this rule in mind. Be patient. After a while, and I promise it will be less than 18 months you’ll see the bananas. Sorry the traffic and money coming your way. I can’t tell you how much right now, it depends on your writing skills and how often are you able to write now posts (watering).

And what is your thoughts? Let me know in comments below. Thank you all for reading and I hope I did help another person today and wish you good luck and lots of patience.

Monthly income report June 2012

Yes, another month, another online income report. But this post is not only about how much money from Pro blogs I was able to get in June 2012. Writing every monthly online report makes me think about the past month. About June at this time. Lots of things happened in June. At the beginning we came back from Tenerife (I actually can’t believe that it’s already one month ago), start “new relationship” with my dentist (we are seeing every second week because I’m in pain), first time ever I went this month to emergency (3AM and yes, because of the tooth), we also brought new bed (wallbed – bed you can fold up against the wall and keep hidden in the wardrobe all day long – it helps to save some space in our studio flat) and it was the worst June weather in last 20 years (according to friends who live here over 20 years).
Back to the business. The numbers in June was much better and in was actually the second best month ever.

My online income report for June 2012:

Adsense: £ 631

Infolinks: $ 153 (£98)

Other: £ 89

*Expenses: £ 187

Net income: £ 631

£ 477 is 795 Euro and about 980 US Dollars. YES, nearly 1000 USD per month from Adsense.

As you can see, June online income was much better than May and I can’t wait to see the one for July especially with no new upcoming blogs I have plenty of time to improve those I already have and spend some time relaxing and looking for some fun. Yes, I still don’t do any new sites and trying to find new incoming streams to grow my business. Once I’ll find some, I’ll let you know.

And here is the chart of daily average income from the beginning

Online income report from the beginning june 2012

At the beginning of my online money-making journey I was hopping to get £1 per day in average. And also each month increase of £1/day each month. It means: if I do in December 2010 £31 for whole month (£1 per day), in January 2011 I should get £62 (£2 per day), February 2011 £84 (£3 per day), etc. Yes my goal is £1 a day better than last month. At this moment I should be at £20 per day in average. In January I was getting over £20 a day, now in June was my online business giving me just over £21 per day in average. This is actually the second best month right after January online income overall and I’m back on track, just a bit over the goal I used to set at the beginning.

Looking back to the beginning I was thinking about the Adsense threshold like this is too high, yes to make £60 online in one month was lots of money to me. And now, I’m getting 10 times more in June. If somebody told me two years ago that I’ll be getting 10 times more than the actual Adsense threshold, I’ll be laughing all day long. I would tell him that this is impossible to me to get that much money online and here we are.

The question for you is: Where you will (want to) be in two years time?

Neverblue (CPA) to be sold!

Company Velo, the parent company of Neverblue, will sell assets at a bankruptcy auction. Yes, Neverblue will be auctioned off to pay Velo’s debts and new owner will be the highest bidder. Everyone is hoping that the new owner will be one that has the knowledge and care for the industry but you never know.
I actually never used Neverblue as publisher, all I know they did always pay and the income was reasonable. Not the best but definitely not the worst. I would say, if you are publisher for top 10 CPA companies, the Neverblue will be one of them.

The problem is bankruptcy auction.

Because this is a bankruptcy auction, the new owner is not required to pay the debts of the company. This means that in theory, affiliates and publishers could not be paid. However, Neverblue issued the following statement that they believed that this sale would not affect the company, and that they believe that whomever bought it would buy the debts also. They just believed. It wouldn’t be enough if I have a couple of hundreds dollars.

Another issue is, few people who was denied before, get an emails from Neverblue that they can re-apply again. Are they contacting all their denied affiliates desperate for income? Or is Neverblue hunting for new publishers because their publishers are leaving the network?

If I was driving traffic to Neverblue, I would probably stop it for few months and switch it to another CPA. Of course they’re (Neverblue employees) going to be optimistic and say “this won’t affect the business, you don’t have to worry”.
Or are you expecting to hear from them something like: “Yes, Neverblue is going to be sold and you might not get paid.”? Just think about it one more time.

Monthly income report May 2012

Last time I was talking about April and how crazy that month was. I would say, May was a bit lazy :) Even I was talking about doing as much work as possible, I didn’t do much in whole May. After Google updates I decided not to start any new Pro Blogs, just work on those I already have. The idea was simple. Don’t stop the work I already began and try to keep open business as usually. Just don’t stop was the idea of the May.

Another big thing of May was our vacation. We ( myself and my beautiful fiancée ) went to Tenerife. Actually, Tenerife is the largest island of the seven Canary Islands located just off the northwest Africa, yes geographically is Tenerife part os Africa, politically, it’s Spain and part of Europe Union. We have done lots of things like my first Paragliding flight ever or walking up to the El Teide which is over 3,718 meters hight (12,198 ft) and it’s the highest point in Spain. Also lots of swimming, walking, driving all around the island… There wasn’t too much time for my online business and I took one more day of holiday before the Tenerife trip to make sure everything will be fine and no one from my Pro Blogs will be starving without any new content. I actually took one more day after we come back to see the damage :) It was great idea because I can write this post for you and actually finish what need to be done. As I said before, I’m enjoying the life and waiting. My monthly earnings dropped down but now I can call it the real passive income.

My online income report for May 2012:

Adsense: £ 477

Infoliks: $ 170 (£110)

Other: £ 103

*Expenses: £ 214

Net income: £ 477

£ 477 is 590 Euro and about 740 US Dollars.

As you can see, May online income was just a tiny bit better than April and I can’t wait to see the one for June especially with no new upcoming blogs I have plenty of time to improve those I already have and spend some time relaxing and looking for some fun.

* I always spend all money from Infolinks and other advertisers and affiliate programs because I get this money to my PayPal account and then use it for outsourcing, new hosting and domains payments. At this moment I should be at £19 per day in average. In January I was getting over £20 a day, now in May was my online business giving me just over £15 per day in average. Actually second time I’m under the goal. I hope it will be over £20/day again. You never know what is behind the corner.

Monthly income report April 2012

April was a crazy month.  As we all know, Google came up with new Panda and Penguin and another 50 updates to its search algorithm. There isn’t cute name for every new update, Google don’t name it at all, sometimes others such as Webmaster World name them, as with the Mayday update in year 2010. The same history with Panda update. Other people started to call it Farmer because this update was about combat low quality sites called farms. Google didn’t like the name and gave the official name to Panda. Even worst it was with the Penguin. The cute name came after people was looking for new name to this update and actually in one pool on Facebook was winning name for latest update “Titanic”. Google quickly made the Penguin name.

Some of my sites was hit by those updates, I’m actually still looking for the reason why. I didn’t do too much backlinking to those sites because I’m just too lazy and actually other sites linking back to me after while anyway. It call the natural linkbuilding and that’s what Google likes. I didn’t do any spam sites with stacking words or similar techniques. Actually after reading about last G updates I realized that it’s big G who screwed things up. Lots of sites drooped down in search results and sometimes you can find on the first page of Google results weirds sites with last update in 2004 or even parked domains without any actual text on it.

I simply decided to leave everything as it is and wait for the time when the shakeup will finish. I’m just enjoying the life a bit more then before and wait. My monthly earnings dropped down but now I can call it the real passive income.

Let’s see the numbers:

My online income report for April 2012:

Adsense: £ 466

Infoliks: $ 150 (£93)

Other: £ 33

*Expenses: £ 126

Net income: £ 466

£ 466 is 580 Euro and about 750 US Dollars.

As you can see, April online income was a bit worst then March online income but as I said before, April was really crazy and lots of people was actually talking about closing the whole Internet Marketing down. I’m not shutting down, just simply waiting and looking for the way how to recovery.

One more thing. The big drop in earning wasn’t only because I get less visitors to my Pro Blogs thanks to Google updates I actually forgot to renew domain name for one of my Top 5 earning blogs. Lesson learned :)

Monthly income report March 2012

This is scary. It’s already April and the first 90 days of 2012 went so quick. I know, last time I was talking about doing as much work as possible but sometimes we should just stop the work and enjoy the life. The life is just too short and quick. We can’t live the 2011 again, it’s gone and all we have is nice or bad memories. I’m always trying to get as much nice memories as possible for me and my beautiful fiancée. That’s the reason why we are outside on some trip every single weekend and did last year two vacations. Actually we are trying to do even more this year. The first one is Dublin where we will be this Easter. I hope there will be nice weather and we will be able to get some nice memories.

Anyway, back to the Earth and to the monthly income reports. As I told you before, I’m doing each month report of my Adsense and Affiliate income to inspire you and keep you building Pro Blogs even you are not getting the money at this moment. Everything need its time and each Pro Blog need the time to grow and make some money to your pocket. If you are going through this difficult time, please check my report to see where you can be in one year time.

My online income report for March 2012 in numbers:

Adsense: £ 575

Infoliks: $ 260 (£162)

Other: £ 52

*Expenses: £ 214

Net income: £ 575

£ 575 is 690 Euro and about 920 US Dollars.

As you can see, March online income was a bit better then February online income but March was 2 days longer and if you scroll down to see the report of daily average you’ll find out that the March daily income was actually exactly the same as in February.

I’m not exited about it (like over the moon) but definitely not disappointed. Actually, last six months the online income was always about £500 and compare to renting property, you have to own house or flat with price tag £100 000 to get £500 as monthly rent from tenant. And of course, you don’t have many chances to double the income in next six or twelve months. Yes, with building new Pro Blogs you have much bigger chance to get double of that money in one year time.

At this moment I should be at £17 per day in average. In January I was getting over £20 a day, now in March was my online business giving me over £18 per day in average. Actually the same as in February. I hope it will be over £20/day again. I’m not only hoping, I’m working hard to develop more websites which will help to the increase of £1 per day each month.

Income report of my online business

As you can see, 17th month in row I’m still over the goal I set on the beginning of this money-making online journey.

Do as much work as possible

Work hard and get the top results

So you want to make money online? Then you should have some smart rules. If you don’t have any, here is the second one.

The rule No2: Do as much work as possible

I do little bit of outsourcing for my Pro Blogs and I actually find out that it’s great time saver. Instead of doing something boring I can do or try some new things and get better results. For new type of work I always find new person. Sometimes Top guys, sometime newby freelancer. I have new guy for about two weeks in my team and he actually never did job like this before. But I hired him to give him a chance. I knew it won’t cost me much to find out if he can or cannot do it. I won’t tell you his real name, let’s call him Niko. Niko is great guy from East Asia and we chat not only about work every second day. Niko is hard worker and even his English is not perfect (even my is not perfect and I’m proud about my level of English), he can understand what I need and that’s the most important thing. After first two jobs I asked him how much should I pay him per hour to keep him happy. He said (of course) more than I did before and I actually gave to him even 50% more. I’m giving him work for 2 hours a day. If I can I’ll give him more but I can’t just tell somebody who is working for me more them half an year “Sorry, but I have someone else to do your job”, that’s not my style and if I’m happy with somebody I never replace that person.

Back to the point. Today we had conversation.

Niko: Hi, I sent you the last job, it’s done. Please check it and report any mistakes.

Me: Hi Niko, I’ll check it a bit later today. It was pretty quick I was expecting to have it done sometime next week. Thank you.

Niko: Do you have any more for me today?

Me: I’m sorry, I’ll try to find something but it won’t be today. I actually told you not to rush with it because I don’t have anything else at this moment. (out of the conversation: sometimes it’s just misunderstanding but me and Niko can work with that)

Niko: Sorry I didn’t understand it. I thought I should do it quickly. I actually didn’t take another job because I wanted to concentrate on this one.

Yes this is the point where I was heading from the beginning. Then we had long chat where I told him to never ever cancel any more jobs from another employers. Something like: “You should take as much work as possible because you can end up only with one thing. Lots of money for your work. Because at this moment you are in bad position. Employers are choosing from hundreds of freelancers. You need to walk to another side where you’ll be in the position of deciding who you want to work for.”

Yes, I’m not talking about Niko ONLY. It’s about me, you, everyone who is trying to make money online. We should always make sure we have more work then we can actually handle. And if I can’t handle on my own? I’ll find some freelancer who is happy to help me and do the work even better and faster then me. This is win-win situation and you should find the path to it. You should have that much work with your Pro Blogs that sometimes you won’t be able to do it just on your own.

Monthly income report February 2012

Monthly online income report for February 2012

Right, it’s already March and I should show you some February income numbers as I promised one month ago. I’m not doing this only because I made a promise, I’m showing my monthly income reports because I want to give you some inspiration here. To all new bloggers. Starting a Pro Blog is long way and it’s not that easy but at the end, you can always get some money back for your hard work. Also, any online income will definitely keep you motivated and will kick you closer to the success.

The breakdown of my online income for February 2012:

Adsense: £ 540

Infoliks: $ 225 (£142)

Other: £ 75

*Expenses: £ 217

Net Income: £ 540

£ 540 is about 640 Euro and over 850 USD.

The January was nice jump, now in February I’m going a little bit down. But everything what is going up need to go down one day. The main thing is, it’s moving the right way even if is moving backwards, sometimes. I’m definitely not disappointed about it. I have some good days and some bad days for my online business, especially with Adsense. In bad days I’m always feeling sad for Google. Because they are trying to do their best to get the most targeted ads on my Pro Blogs and sometimes it just doesn’t work. And of course, it’s not me who is loosing, it’s Google. Why? Because Google get about one-third from my income. Shouldn’t I say “I’m loosing more”. Not really. I can always go and try someone else who can handle my ads better. Where can go Google?

If you check those numbers properly you’ll see there is drop down in Adsense income but Infolinks income is growing up. Not that much but not everything is just bad. And that’s the main thing.

Reason why I got less money from Adsense in February?

February is the shortest month. Even this year was February 29 days long, it’s still two days less than January.

Another thing is, in almost every industry on this planet, January and February are quiet months. And that should be another reason why I made less with Adsense and more with Infolinks. Advertisers was probably trying new, cheaper ways to show their ads. Also with less competition between advertisers, we publishers get less money for showing ads. It’s simple. Anyway, in March I’m expecting my online income to grow. Yes I’m always optimist.

Chart of daily average income from the beginning

At the beginning of my online money making journey I was hopping to get £1 per day in average. And also each month increase of £1/day each month. It means: if I do in December 2010 £31 for whole month (£1 per day), in January 2011 I should get £62 (£2 per day), February 2011 £84 (£3 per day), etc. Yes my goal is £1 a day better than last month. At this moment I should be at £16 per day in average. In January I was getting over £20 a day, now in February was my online money giving me over £18 per day in average. I hope it will be over £20/day again. I’m not only hoping, I’m working hard to develop more websites which will help to the increase of £1 per day each month.

And here is the chart from the beginning:

As you can see, 16th month in row I’m still over the goal I set on the beginning of this money-making online journey.
